There will be a PSAC North Regional Women's Committee Meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 20 at the PSAC North Boardroom. The meeting will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Please see our poster for  more details.

There will be a NWT Regional Women's Council Meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 23 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.  The meeting will take place in the PSAC Boardroom at 201-4910, 53rd Street, North Star Building in Yellowknife.

The Native Women’s Association NWT, Yellowknife Victim Services Program and the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG) project will be holding its annual Sisters in Spirit Vigil and March.  The event will take place at Yellowknife City Hall on Oct 4th, 2017 from 11:30am-1:30 pm. Participants will be walking to Northern United Place. Please see the attached poster for more details.

Our Family Fun Day in support of affordable, high quality child care in Canada this Saturday in Yellowknife was a huge success! We welcomed more than 200 children and their families for a day of fun activities and a great learning experience for parents about what universal child care could look like in Canada.

Canada needs a universal child care system that works for everyone. Join us for a free Family Fun Day at the Yellowknife Multiplex on Saturday, April 29 from 1-4 p.m. Kids of all ages and their families are invited to attend free of charge. Activities include a bouncy castle, face painting, carnival games, crafts and painting. We'll also have free snacks and refreshments for everyone.

PSAC North, in collaboration with the NWT Chapter of the Council of Canadians, is organizing a teach-in* offered by Brenda Sayers on October 13th, 5:30 p.m. This is an opportunity for labour leaders and activists to learn about the impacts of the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) on labour and public services. Please see attached poster announcing the event, and feel free to share it with colleagues and friends interested in labour rights and social justice.
