Orange Shirt Beading Workshop-- Whitehorse

In the spirit of reconciliation, PSAC North Yukon Regional Indigenous Peoples Committee organized Orange Shirt beading workshop on September 28 and 29. The event was open to all: Indigenous and non-Indigenous PSAC members, supporters and allies. Jayla Rousseau Thomas facilitated the workshop. The event led to important discussions about Orange Shirt Day and its origin. Every Child Matters buttons were provided to participants and they all went away with their beaded Orange Shirt pins. Indigenous Peoples Committee Chair, Carrie Lynn Robinson, spoke about the committee, their mandate, activities and campaigns.
