Women's Committee in Yukon

The Whitehorse Regional Women’s and the Yukon Aboriginal Peoples’ committees hosted a teddy bear picnic for Jordan’s Principle, May 10.   

There will be a PSAC North Whitehorse Regional Women's Committee Meeting - Special General Meeting in Whitehorse on Thursday, March 8.  The meeting will take place at the PSAC-YEU Union Hall-Lucy Jackson Training Room from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. 

There will be a PSAC North Whitehorse Regional Women's Committee Meeting on Monday, Feb. 26 in Whitehorse, YT. The meeting will take place at the PSAC/YEU Union Hall - Lucy Jackson Training Room from 5:45 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.  Please RSVP to ensure quorum.

There will be a Whitehorse Women's Committee meeting on Thursday, Feb. 1 at the Lucy Jackson Training Room.  The meeting will take place between 5:45 p.m. and 615 p.m. Please see the full list of upcoming committee meetings here. 

PSAC North supports partnering organizations like Yukon Women's Transition Home, which has put together a series of videos to help those involved in a crisis. The three-part video series is called "Together for Safety" and involves six Whitehorse women's groups and Whitehorse RCMP working together to provide educated assistance for victims of sexualized assault or domestic violence. On International Women’s Day 2018, the PSAC invites its members to celebrate our many victories and efforts in fighting for equality for all women.

The 2017 Regional Women's Conference will be held prior to the National Equity Conferences in Toronto, Ontario. To All Women that have been selected to attend the National Equity Conference: All women attending the PSAC National Equity Conference will be automatic delegates to the PSAC North Regional Women’s Conference, which will be held on March 22-23, 2017 at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel.

A coalition of several women’s advocacy groups signed a new safety protocol with the RCMP - Together for Safety in Whitehorse May 29th. PSAC member Linda Moen was invited to represent the YT Regional Women’s and Aboriginal People’s committees in the newly formed coalition.

The Seventeenth National Triennial Convention of the Public Service Alliance of Canada will be held at the Québec City Convention Centre in Québec City, Québec beginning Sunday, April 26 and concluding Friday, May 1, 2015.PSAC North Regional Caucus will take place Sunday, April 26 at 12:30 p.m. If you would like to take part in the caucus, ensure you arrange your travel to arrive on Saturday, April 25.
