  Understanding and being involved with the Collective Bargaining Process is essential for all union activists. This two day course will provide an overview of the Collective Bargaining process and how it connects to broader global, economic and political context and more specifically to the union’s work on Political Action.

Registration open for the following courses:  TALKING UNION BASICS  (2 Days)      Sept 27- 28  CONVENTION PREP & RESOLUTION WRITING: How to get yourself & your resolution to convention  Oct 12, Oct. 23 and Nov. 8  INTRODUCTION TO HEALTH & SAFETY (2 Days)  Oct. 18-19

  This two-day course is open to Local Officers, Stewards and members with interest about becoming an executive on their Local. Participants learn how to work together as a team to efficiently administer Local business and organize members at the workplace. The most beneficial experience would be to have more than one member from each local participate in this course.

This is the union’s key introductory course - all members are encouraged to become better informed. The TUB is a prerequisite for all PSAC in-residence courses. You will learn about your rights in the workplace and in the union, and the role our unions play in our communities. You will also develop your understanding of the collective agreement and the grievance procedure.
