Treasury Board: Strike Preparation Training, Whitehorse

Despite the efforts of the PSAC bargaining teams, there has been very little progress at the bargaining tables. The PSAC Whitehorse Regional Office will be offering strike training preparation training for all Treasury Board Units. Please see below for more details. A poster is attached.

After this training session, you will:

• Know the obligations of respectful conduct on picket lines;

• Have knowledge, skills and confidence to picket effectively;

• Have the tools to create workable solutions to the personal challenges faced by members on strike, such as financial requirements;

• Have the tools to conduct an effective strike;

• Know the roles of strike participants.

Expenses: The Alliance will reimburse participants for loss of wages, transportation, meals and incidentals in accordance with the Treasury Board Travel Directive. Family care expenses will also be reimbursed as per the PSAC policy -- contact Shawna at above for more details as soon as possible.
