PSAC North Yukon Education 2019 Spring and Winter schedules are available. Registration open for the following courses:    TALKING UNION BASICS – 2 days  March 29th to 30th – Whitehorse TALKING UNION BASICS and INTRO TO LOCAL OFFICERS – 3.5 days  March 2019 (date to be determined) – Watson Lake

This one day course will provide participants with an understanding of the Duty to Accommodate (DTA) in the workplace as it relates to human rights and membership representation. By the end of this course, participants will have a better understanding of the Duty to Accommodate, understand who has a role in DTA (Employer, Employee, Union), recognize that DTA not only applies to physical disabilities and be familiar with the Meiroin and Grismer cases. Public Service Alliance of Canada North will be hosting a Phoenix' Lunch and Learn about the broken Phoenix payroll system.  PSAC’s top priority is doing everything in our power to ensure the pay system is fixed so public service employees get paid correctly and on time. There will be a two-day Local Officers Training course on  Friday, May 25 and Saturday May 26, 2018. The course will take place in Whitehorse.  This course is a prerequisite for Advanced Local Officers. To see the course description and the schedule, please view the poster here.
