The Public Service Alliance of Canada North hosted the annual Pink Shirt/Anti-Bullying Day at the Great Hall of the NWT Legislative Assembly on Feb. 28.
Students from four local schools gathered to mark this year's theme which was Cyberbullying.
Among the featured presentations included a video by William McDonald’s Me to We Group called “Step Up So others Don’t Get Stepped On.”
“Pink Shirt Day is a chance for us all to reflect on how we can help to change the lives of those around us for the better,” said Jack Bourassa, Regional Executive Vice President for the Public Service Alliance of Canada North. “It’s also a reminder that we must work together to stamp out bullying in all its forms in our communities.”
The PSAC North NWT Regional Area Council sponsored lunch for the students for approximately 100 students attending from local schools.
