Your membership pays off! In addition to the many benefits and rights, PSAC members in good standing can apply to attend and participate in national and regional events, conferences, conventions and more! As a member in good standing, you can elect your union officers, run for positions in the union and have a bigger role in the labour movement.
With the upcoming regional and national conventions and conferences, our members run through the issue of “am I member in good standing?” At PSAC North, we don’t want any member to miss out on opportunities. Therefore, we kindly ask all members to ensure that they are in good standing.
- Sign PSAC Application for Membership Form: we have cards available at our regional offices in Whitehorse, Yellowknife and Iqaluit. Drop by to sign your card or contact us for more information.
- Ensure that membership dues are kept current and paid no later than the month in which they become due. There are few exceptions outlined in the PSAC Constitution.
- If you have any questions and/or concerns, please give us a call and our staff will help you.
Are you on leave without pay? Please note that non-dues paying members must make application to the National President in order to maintain their membership in good standing. For more details, refer to Section 4 of the PSAC Constitution.
If you’re wishing to attend and participate in conventions and/or conferences, please take the time to ensure that you’re a member in good standing earlier in the process to avoid any delays or disappointment.
