Labour Day Barbecues

Don’t miss Labour Day barbecues across Nunavut and the Northwest Territories!

Labour Day is a chance to celebrate the contributions of unions to our collective quality of life and a day to celebrate and honour the work of ordinary Canadians. And what better way to celebrate than to spend time with your fellow workers and enjoy a hot dog or a hamburger on us?

Come join the Northern Territories Federation of Labour and the Public Service Alliance of Canada for free Labour Day barbecues in communities across the North on Monday, September 1st!

Labour Day barbecue locations across the Northwest Territories and Nunavut:

Yellowknife – Stanton Plaza, Noon to 2:00 p.m.

Fort Smith – Conibear Park, Noon to 2:00 p.m.

Iqaluit – Sylvia Grinnell Territorial Park, 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Rankin Inlet – Elder’s Cabin, Noon to 3:00 p.m.

Take some time out of the last long weekend of the summer to commemorate how Labour Day came to be – through the contributions of unions and the Canadian workers that helped build our country.
