The Gadjo Collective is a Balkan dance band from Edmonton that explores the music of the Balkans tossing in a dash of hot club swing. The Collective was formed after Cam Neufeld attended the Django festivalin Samois, France in 2010 that celebrated Django’s 100th birthday. In the monthsleading up to that festival Cam traveled to India to explore the roots of Roma music and continued through the Balkans, Spain and France studying and composing. Since then, Cam has made three more trips to India, Turkey and the Balkans continuing to play and research music of the Roma. Using traditional and newly composed pieces , these seasoned musicians will not only take you along the trail of the Roma but will have you dancing along the way!

Opening Act Quantum Tangle : Grey Gritt and Tiffany Ayalik have been distinguishing themselves as artistic virtuosos locally and beyond for years. They have come together as Quantum Tangle to deliver a self-described fusion of old-world sounds and new world flair. Mixing styles and flavours that reflect their individual artistic journeys (spanning across the north and beyond), Gritt and Ayalik promise a sensory overload of sight, sound and spirit…and no doubt – energy.
