Join this year’s 12 Days To End Violence Against Women campaign’s keynote speaker Monique Lapine for a public talk in the Pit at noon. Monique Lepine has a unique story to tell as the mother of the man responsible for killing 14 women at the Montreal Massacre in 1989. She was silent for 17 years before sharing her story. A victim of violence herself, Monique will share how she and her community found hope after the violence. Her perspectives and experiences through this tragedy demonstrate that violence against women hurts us all but more importantly, that we can all play our part to end violence in our communities. Lunch provided. All welcome!
