At Public Service Alliance of Canada North, we began working on a campaign at the beginning of the year calling for all northern territories to increase minimum wage to $15 per hour.
However, according to several recent findings and reports, the current and proposed minimum wage does not cover the cost of living in the north. With new information, we have decided to increase that figure to a Living Wage.
We have a petition that's circulated in your region. We also have postcards (attached below) that you can print, sign and send to your Premier stating that you support raising the minimum wage to a Living Wage. You can also view letters we sent to premiers as well as post cards and petitions (attached below).
