Join community organizations and activists at Yellowknife’s peaceful anti-racism demonstration.
2:00 p.m. - Meet with vehicles at the Multiplex.
Please make signs with Black Lives Matter slogans and put black ribbons on your antennas. This limits people being in contact with others and observes the restrictions about limiting contact with others during Phase 1 of pandemic restrictions.
3:00 p.m. - Begin the procession following the parade marshal down Franklin Ave to 48 ST. turn left- turn left at 4 way and proceed past the Courthouse, DND , City Hall, and turn right onto Franklin Ave at 53 St. back to multiplex where you will disperseThis will be live streamed for those who cannot attend or do not wish to leave their homes.
4:00 p.m (approximately)- There will be no demonstration at the multiplex, speakers will be live streamed and people can watch from home or on their phones.
If people want to attend and have no vehicle ,we ask they please respect social distancing and line the route holding signs with the slogans..
