By now many labour organizations across the country have spoken out in condemnation of the acts that we all witnessed in Charlottesville, Virginia on Aug. 12.
Given the tight-knit and diverse nature of our own community, I feel as REVP at PSAC North that we must not only denounce in the strongest terms what occurred, but moving forward, tackle the lingering impact of that weekend.

We are pleased to announce the 2016 PSAC North Regional Conference for Racially Visible Members, which will be held October 15th and 16th, 2016 under the theme “Race Forward: Our Union, Our Community, Our Future!”.
This conference is a historical first for the PSAC North. Racially Visible members will have a chance to network, to learn, and to exchange information across the North. It is an important opportunity to become a part of racially visible community of PSAC North.

The Seventeenth National Triennial Convention of the Public Service Alliance of Canada will be held at the Québec City Convention Centre in Québec City, Québec beginning Sunday, April 26 and concluding Friday, May 1, 2015.PSAC North Regional Caucus will take place Sunday, April 26 at 12:30 p.m. If you would like to take part in the caucus, ensure you arrange your travel to arrive on Saturday, April 25.

Thousands of migrant workers arrive on Canada’s shores every year in search of a better life; higher wages, a better quality of living and a safe place to raise their families. But Canada’s temporary foreign worker program has become a bog of red tape and loopholes that merely benefit employers and leave workers out to dry.
