There will be a Yukon Indigenous Peoples Committee Meeting on Thursday, September 20.  The meeting will take place in the Lucy Jackson Room from 5:15 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.

There will be a Yukon Aboriginal Peoples Committee Meeting at the Lucy Jackson Room, Yukon Employees' Union, Whitehorse, Yukon. The event will take place on Wednesday, May 16 from 5:15 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  Please see the list of all calendar dates for committee meetings here.

There will be a Yukon Aboriginal Peoples' Committee - Annual General Meeting held at the PSAC/YEU Union Hall, at the Lucy Jackson Training Room on Thursday, Oct. 19.  The event will begin at 5:30 p.m.

PSAC North asks citizens to wear an orange shirt on Saturday, September 30 to commemorate the Every Child Matters campaign. The day recognizes all of those who experienced the trauma of residential schools and recommits our support for national reconciliation with indigenous peoples. Jack Bourassa Regional Executive Vice President, PSAC North By now many labour organizations across the country have spoken out in condemnation of the acts that we all witnessed in Charlottesville, Virginia on Aug. 12. Given the tight-knit and diverse nature of our own community, I feel as REVP at PSAC North that we must not only denounce in the strongest terms what occurred, but moving forward, tackle the lingering impact of that weekend.

A coalition of several women’s advocacy groups signed a new safety protocol with the RCMP - Together for Safety in Whitehorse May 29th. PSAC member Linda Moen was invited to represent the YT Regional Women’s and Aboriginal People’s committees in the newly formed coalition.
